Chart of Robot to Human Density
Interesting chart of human to robot density. The chart specifically targets industrial robots, per 10,000 humans. This leaves out more common household robots suchs a Roombas or robots used in hospitals. Not suprisingly Japan has a healthy lead, on all the other nations. Its important to note that Japan overall has a higher number of robots used in daily life, so their actual lead is potentially much greater.
I’d love to come back to this in 10 or 15 years and see what the numbers look like and to see at what point non-industrial robots took off. Assuming they don’t go all skynet on us.
