Check out this amazing shot of lighting striking twice at a Nippon Jet soon after take off in Osaka, Japan. The plan remains unharmed after the strikes.

The Aluminum skin of the plane causes the electricity to flow around the plane and continue toward the ground. It has be many many years since a plan has been downed by lighting in the US. Still pretty awesome when you think about how much energy just passed by a bunch of people and sensitive electronics.
